Tentative agreement reached, ratification meeting June 23

Greetings!
Your Negotiating Committee has been at the bargaining table for a total of 9 days. There were some long days for both sides but at 5:15PM on Thursday June 18, we reached a tentative agreement with the employer.
I would personally like to thank the Negotiating Committee for the hard work and long hours that they put in over the course of negotiations.  CUPE National Staff Representative John Horsfield (Lead Negotiator), Ed Nicholas (Bargaining Chair), Keith Todd, Erynne Grant and Dawn Svendsen represented all of you, the 540 members of CUPE Local 2081, with style, poise and grace.
Details of the Agreement will not be shared until the Ratification Meeting. This will be on Tuesday June 23, 2015 starting at 5:00PM sharp in Young 216, Lansdowne campus. You will have to be present to vote as we will not accept either electronic votes or votes by proxy.
Thank you for your attention in this matter. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday night!  Remember – decisions are made by those that show up!
In Solidarity,Tony Nelson, President
